Canada Post tables contract offer to avoid holiday postal strike
Canada Post has tabled an offer hoping to avoid a postal strike ahead of the busy holiday season.
The offer reportedly includes improvements in pay and benefits as well as job security for rural and suburban workers.
The post office also says the deal includes more opportunities for temporary and part time workers
CUP-W ,the union representing 50,000 postal workers, says it won't comment until its bargaining agents analyze the offer.
