Canada wide warrant issued in connection to assault in Niagara Falls hotel room

Detectives with Niagara Regional Police Service  have issued a Canada Wide Arrest Warrant for a suspect wanted in connection to an incident that occurred in the City of Niagara Falls on February 25th, 2018 in which an 18 year old female was assaulted in a local hotel room during an altercation.

22 year old Malik Desir of Montreal, Quebec is facing the alleged charges of:

- Aggravated Assault - Section 268 Criminal Code of Canada
- Robbery - Section 344(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada
- Trafficking in Persons - Section 279.01(1) 
- Material Benefit from sexual services - Section 286.2(1) Criminal Code
- Withholding/Destroying Documents - sec. 279.03(1) Criminal Code
- Advertising Sexual Services - sec. 286.4 Criminal Code

Desir has ties to the Montreal, Quebec area.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Malik Desir, report it immediately to the police by calling 9-1-1, Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477 or your local police.

Two other males have been arrested in connection with this investigation.  18 year old Dave Guillaume and 20 year old Jamal Desir both of Quebec are chaged with the following offences. 

- Aggravated Assault - Section 268 Criminal Code of Canada
- Robbery - Section 344(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada
- Trafficking in Persons - Section 279.01(1) 
- Material Benefit from sexual services - Section 286.2(1) Criminal Code
- Withholding/Destroying Documents - sec. 279.03(1) Criminal Code
- Advertising Sexual Services - sec. 286.4 Criminal Code

Both Jamal Desir and Guillaume are currently being held in custody following a bail hearing.
