Canadian Hearing Society offices impacted by staff strike
Niagara residents who use the Canadian Hearing Society's Hamilton office should take note, workers there are now on strike.
Workers at all 24 Hearing Society offices across Ontario walked off the job over the weekend after talks with a mediator failed to reach a deal on a new contract.
The unionized workers include counsellors, literacy instructors, audiologists, speech language pathologists and interpreters. They work at 24 Canadian Hearing Society offices across Ontario.
The Hamilton office provides services for the hearing impaired in both Niagara and Burlington.
