City of St. Catharines releases mayor's expenses, gift log

In a bid for transparency, the city of St. Catharines has released a full list of the expenses incurred by the mayor in 2017.

Everything from the cost of Mayor Walter Sendzik's iPad, to mileage, and annual subscription fees are now available for perusal.

The report also details all gifts received by the mayor last year. Although the City's Code of Conduct requires councillors to disclose gifts over $300 in value, none of the gifts come close. The most expensive gift is a Keurig coffee maker worth $120 - it's listed as a Christmas gift from a private citizen.

The report can be found on the city's website.

Sendzik's regional councillor expenses have been available since last year when the Niagara Region released hundreds of pages of regional councillor expenses dating back years.
