City of St. Catharines telling Sea Doo owners to ski-daddle
The city of St. Catharines is taking measures to keep Jet Ski operators away from swimmers on at least one local beach.
Signs are going up at Sunset Beach warning people on personal watercraft to stay away from the shore.
This comes after several close calls with swimmers this summer.
Two Sea Doos crashed at the beach near swimmers on Canada Day.
The city is also looking at installing buoy lines to keep Jet Skis away from the shoreline.
Signs are also expected to be posted at Lakeside Beach.
