It's the unofficial sign of the end of summer.

The Canadian National Exhibition opens today.

New attractions this year include the Ex Race, an adrenaline-pumping American Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course you can take on.

Food wise look for mushroom coffee, poutine dogs, rainbow grilled cheese and pickle lemonade.

The Ex is also celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Canadian International Air Show and along with the Canadian Forces Airbirds, the CNE is welcoming back the Royal Air Force acrobatic team, and the Red Arrows, who performed at the Ex back in 2002.
