Colts Buck 'Dogs 7-2
The Barrie Colts scored three in the second and three in the third to break open a 1-all first period, winning 7-2 over the IceDogs at the Meridian Centre. Kirill Maksimov's 32nd in the opening period and Willie Lochead's 4th in the final period scored the Niagara goals.
After the Colts got the early advantage, Elijah Roberts sprung Johnny Corneil on a breakaway with a stretch pass to the Barrie blueline. It was Maksimov who buried the redound at 18:43. The visitors had the shots edge after one, 13-8.
In the middle frame, Barrie counted three unanswered, despite being outshot 13-11. After the Colts made it 5-1 in period three, Lochead's goal, from Bradey Johnson and Elijah Roberts at 4:26 brought the home side closer. Two more from Barrie closed out the scoring. 35-32 IceDogs was the final shots count.
