Council to decide fate of Glen Abbey
One of Canada's top golf courses could be saved from being turned into a residential and commercial complex.
Oakville's town council will decide tonight whether to designate Glen Abbey for protection under the Ontario Heritage Act.
The golf course has hosted the Canadian Open more times than any other.
But its owner, ClubLink, has proposed development that would see the famed course become a mix of residential units, office and retail space.
