Design for new Port Dalhousie Piers coming soon
The federal Fisheries and Oceans department says a new design for the Port Dalhousie piers should be completed by the end of this month.
The popular piers were closed in 2015 over safety issues.
However, the department has yet to commit to funding for the actual building stage.
A Ministry spokesperson says they will meet with St. Catharines officials in April to discuss the next steps in the process.
Replacing the old wooden piers carries a pricetag of around $33 million.
