Driver charged after transport truck caught going wrong way on 401
Provincial police say a truck driver is charged after a transport truck was spotted going the wrong way on Highway 401 in the southwestern Ontario community of Dutton.
OPP say officers responding to the report around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday located the transport attempting to turn around.
They say the truck was taken to a nearby service centre and the driver a 52-year-old Windsor, Ont., man was charged with careless driving.
OPP urge anyone who finds they are going the wrong way on a divided highway to pull over to the nearest shoulder, stop and call police immediately for assistance.
