Drug investigation leads to the arrest of 3 Welland residents

The Niagara police street crime unit with help from the RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Welland yesterday.

They seized 44.8 grams of cocaine with a street value of $4,480 as well as a quantity of  cash and various trafficking indicators.

Salvatore Lamacchia, a 39-year-old Welland resident was charged with:
- Trafficking cocaine
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Breach of Recognizance (4 counts)

Laura Krajkovic, a 29-year-old Welland resident was charged with:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

Frank Buttineau, a 54 year old Welland resident was charged with:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Obstruct police

Krajkovic was released on conditions with a future court date while both Lamacchia and Buttineau were held for bail.
