Dunnville man charged in deer hunting incident
A Dunnville man has been fined $1500 after being caught hunting deer without a licence.
Richard Sharpe Jr. pleaded guilty and was fined $1,000 for unlawfully hunting deer without a licence and $500 for using a banned shot size when hunting big game.
Court heard that in November 2017, Sharpe shot and killed an antlerless deer near Dunnville in Haldimand County.
A joint investigation by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and OPP determined that Sharpe did not have a licence to hunt deer and that he used a shotgun loaded with a prohibited shot size to shoot the deer.
