Environment Canada extends freezing rain warning Sunday for North and South Niagara.
Environment Canada is extending a freezing rain warning this morning for north and south Niagara.
These areas include Niagara Falls, Welland, St. Catharines, and Grimsby. Power outages are also possible in these areas.
Occasional ice pellets and freezing rain are set to continue Sunday morning, changing to a rainfall warning in the afternoon.
Amounts likely in the 20 to 25 mm range.
Officials ask residents to help keep drainage basins clear of ice buildup to assist in more effective water flow.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Keep children and pets away from creeks and river banks.
