Evacuation orders issued as Hurricane Florence approaches Carolinas
Officials are warning people to prepare for what could potentially be one of the most powerful storms to hit the Carolinas in six decades.
Hurricane Florence is expected to strengthen to a Category 5 storm sometime today and reach North and South Carolina by Thursday.
Millions of people are being told to prepare for devastating flash flooding, battering winds, and life threatening storm surges.
South Carolina's governor has ordered a full coastal evacuation beginning at noon today.
Parts of Virginia are also under evacuation orders.
