Fireworks safety reminder
Police are urging those planning to celebrate Canada day with fireworks to do so safely.
They say fireworks should be bought from a reliable source and people should avoid illegal explosives and not improvise and make their own fireworks.
Unused fireworks should be stored in a closed box away from the firework being lit.
And they say a bucket of sand, supply of water and a working fire extinguisher should be on hand.
