Former NPCA employee launches countersuit
A former Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority employee has launched a $400,000 lawsuit against the agency.
Post Media reporting Jocelyn Baker is counter suing the Authority for defamation and breach of contract.
The NPCA launched its own suit against Baker in October after Welland MPP Cindy Forster read an email Baker has sent her to the Ontario legislature.
The conservation authority alleges that email violated an agreement Baker had signed when she was terminated which prevented her from disparaging the agency verbally, in writing, or digitally.
