Getting to the game in Toronto is about to get much harder
A major funnel to downtown Toronto will be out of bound for eight months starting in April.
The ramp from the eastbound Gardiner Expressway to York/Yonge/Bay will be closed beginning April 17.
The aging ramp will be torn down and a reconfigured, shorter ramp to lower Simcoe St erected in its place.
While mayor John Tory concedes the shutdown will create frustration, it also gives the city the chance to improve access to the lakefront for pedestrians and cyclists.
