Government may increase Canada Child Benefit
There's word this moring Ottawa is going to announce an increase to the Canada Child Benefit.
The payments vary from family to family, and are based on income, as well as the number of children.
CTV News is reporting that new maximum yearly benefit will be $6,600 per child under the age of 6, and $5,600 per child aged 6 through 17.
That means that families will be receiving between $12 and $30 more a month than they receive under the current system.
