Hagersville girl recovering after double amputation.
The family of a 5 year old girl who was dragged by a car in Hagersville is taking things 'one day at a time.'
Maeve Field celebrated her fifth birthday at the beginning of this month, just a few weeks after the little girl and her brother were hit by a car while out shopping with their family in mid-March.
While the boy's injuries were serious, the girl was rushed to McMaster Children's Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Maeve's family has posted an update to her GoFundMe account, saying she is alert, awake, and playing jokes despite having an arm and leg amputated and losing vision in her left eye.
The family also says they are incredibly grateful for all the support they have received.
No charges have been laid against the 80 year old driver of the vehicle.
