Hamilton family of 5 among killed in Ethiopian plane crash
A family of five from Hamilton have been identified as victims in the Ethiopian plane crash that killed 157 people.
The 34 year-old mother Carolyne Karanja was killed along with her 60 year-old mother, and three young children.
Karanja was bringing her seven-month-old baby Rubi Njuguna to Kenya to meet her grandfather for the first time.
Rubi's seven-year-old brother Ryan Njuguna, four-year-old sister Kelly Njuguna and 60-year-old grandmother Ann Karanja also died in the crash.
The entire family lived in Hamilton for the past year.
Following this crash, 50 countries including Canada have banned the Boeing 737 Max 8's from flying.
