Hamilton man calls 911 on Canada Day to complain about cold burger and fries
Police say a Hamilton man called 9-1-1 on Canada Day to report that his Uber Eats order of a McDonalds burger and fries was cold.
They say the man complained to the nearby McDonalds but a dispute erupted over whether restaurant staff or the delivery service was to blame.
The angry man then called 9-1-1 but was told by officers that fast food complaints are not a matter for police.
Hamilton police spokeswoman Jackie Penman says no charges were brought against the man, but adds people should know that 9-1-1 is meant for emergencies only.
