Havoc the police dog helps officers track down 3 suspects in St.Catharines

Three young St.Catharines men have been arrested following the discovery of a stolen vehicle.

NRP say an officer spotted the vehicle which had been reported stolen at 2 this morning driving in the area of Queenston and Niagara Streets.

When the officer tried to pull the car over, police report it took off at a high rate of speed. 

The vehicle was quickly located abandoned in a nearby parking lot in the area of Maplewood Drive and Linwell Road.

Members of the Niagara Regional Police K9 Unit, Police Service Dog Havoc along with St.Catharines uniform officers searched the area and arrested 3 suspects.

24 year old Daniel Cavanaugh, 19 year old Matthew Marcotte, and 18 year old Tristan McDowell are facing various charges.
