HEARTWARMING | Donation in Niagara Falls allows the homeless to heat their meals
A heartwarming story to end the work week in Niagara Falls where 16 new microwaves have been donated to allow the homeless to heat up their meals.
Father Gerard Power of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church is thanking Dylan Shannon and the United Steel Workers Union for donating the appliances to the Parish's St. Vincent de Paul.
Power says the microwaves will go to our homeless including adults and children who are living in local motel rooms, and have no way of heating their food.
He says this is what happens when the community works together.
Power says they have collected 8 microwaves from parishioners and now, 16 more from the USWU.
