Help Kids Shine campaign surpasses goals
The Niagara Children's Centre will be able to continue helping young people shine as they wrap up a month long campaign.
Last night's Plasma Car Races topped off the fundraising initiative, bringing in an additional $23, 604.
The winners of the races this year was, once again, The Twisted Sisters.
Mat Siscoe acted as the Master of Ceremonies for the afternoon and has seen what a difference the centre can make first hand.
"Kids that have speech and language issues or they need rehabilitative therapy. The centre is there and offers a one stop shop, and if the centre can't do it, they can direct you where you need to go. That has been my family's experience."
CEO of the Niagara Children's Centre Oksana Fisher gives CKTB's Larry Fedourk the overall total:
"This month - tremendous amount of support. Again we targeted $130,000 as our goal, we raised $145,767."
