High winds down tree limbs in Niagara

Although the powerful wind gusts from yesterday have calmed, there is still quite a bit of clean up to do around the region.

Residents across Niagara are posting pictures of downed tree limbs and debris scattered by the 90 km/h winds.

The Town of Fort Erie also closed a portion of Point Abino Road South as a precaution while the strong gusts whipped at the high lake levels.

Clean up continues in some areas today, so early morning commuters are encouraged to keep a sharp eye on the roads.
