Hiker airlifted out of Gorge

With the help of Niagara Helicopters, Niagara Parks Police rescued an injured hiker from the gorge over the weekend.

Parks Police say a 56 year old man from Brighton, Ontario was hiking with his family Saturday near the Whirlpool Terminus along Fisherman's Trail when he fell and injured his leg.

Niagara EMS were called and with the help of a chopper rescued the injured man who was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
