Ice boom damaged but holding firm
High winds yesterday battering the ice boom in Lake Erie.
New York state officials confirm winds tore off a small portion of the boom.
But officials say the boom, which controls the flow of ice into the Niagara River, is still working and there is no cause for concern.
Repairs will be made in the coming days.
