Ice boom removal in Niagara River
We keep saying it's a sure sign of spring when the Niagara River Ice Boom is removed, but mother nature doesn't always agree.
Crews began working this week to open the different section of the boom.
The work started Tuesday.
Last year, crews removed the boom March 6th, after a very mild winter.
The boom is put in place to keep ice out of the Niagara River.
