IceDogs "Bounce" Past Guelph
Oliver Castleman scored the game winner on a centre ice shoot-in with 24 seconds left to defeat Guelph 3-2. The IceDogs entered the third leading 2-0 but the Storm evened the game before the mid-way mark of the final period.
Kyle Langdon opened the scoring on a short-handed breakaway just before the mid-period break in the first. Langdon’s 9th came as he stole a puck just inside the IceDogs zone.
Justin Brack extended the advantage with just over 20 seconds left in the second. His first goal with the IceDogs was a backhand effort next to the Guelph goal.
Castleman’s 10th of the year was the winner and ties the rookie with Johnny Corneil and Kyle Langdon for the team lead with three game winning goals.
The IceDogs hit the road for the weekend beginning with a stop in Windsor Saturday night. 610 CKTB has the pre-game show underway at 6:30.
