IceDogs Come Up Short in Game 4
The IceDogs had their way with visiting Hamilton for 40 minutes Wednesday night but couldn't hold a one goal lead, falling 4-2 in game four on home ice. It was Hamilton's first regulation win against the IceDogs in 10 tries this season.
The 'Dogs answered a first period goal 52 seconds later in the first on a Hamilton giveaway with Kirill Maksimov netting his 4th at 9:59 on an assist from Ben Jones. The visitors held an 11-9 shots edge after one.
The only goal of the second came off the stick of Justin MacPherson, his left side shot got by the Bulldogs goaltender who was upended by his own teammate. Justin's 2nd at 1:55 gave assists to Sam Miletic and Liam Ham. Billy Burke's team enjoyed their best twenty minutes of the series, holding a 13-8 shots advantage.
Two goals in under a minute before the third was three minutes old gave Hamilton the lead, with an empty netter closing out the scoring. The final shot total was Hamilton 27, Niagara 26.

The IceDogs will now look to bring the series back home for a Saturday night Game 6. The fifth game of the best of seven Eastern Semi-final happens Thursday night in Hamilton, with the 610 CKTB pre-game show kicking things off at 6:30.
