IceDogs, One Day On, One Day Off, Back to Back

A Wednesday trip to Erie highlights the IceDogs week of OHL hockey action. After a day off, the Dogs face Peterborough at home and Hamilton on the road.

David Bell’s team starts the week just six points out of top spot in the tight OHL Central Division. The IceDogs are in a virtual tie for the best goals against in the division.

The Otters will be missing three players competing at the World Junior Hockey Championships but will have a new weapon in their line-up. Newly acquired Warren Foegele comes over from Kingston and adds to a potent Erie attack.

Friday night, the IceDogs host Peterborough and again the Petes will have new members on a team that’s just three points out of top spot in the Eastern Conference. Nikita Korostelev and Alex Black have come over from the Sarnia Sting.

The weekend concludes Saturday night with a quick ride down the QEW to face the Hamilton Bulldogs. The home team begins the weekend on a three game win streak, including two wins over Erie.

All three games, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will have a 7 O’clock puck drop. That means a 6:30 pre-game show for each matchup on 610 CKTB.
