Impaired charges following ATV accident in Welland
A 27 year old Wainfleet woman is facing impaired driving charges following an ATV roll-over in Welland.
NRP say the incident happened around 4:30 Sunday afternoon when the woman was operating an ATV with two young children in the area of Deeks Road South and Forks Road.
Police say she lost control and rolled the ATV into a ditch.
Both children were wearing helmets at the time of the collision.
It was initially believed one child had sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an out of town hospital for treatment.
The injuries were later determined to be non-life threatening.
The second child involved in the collision was not seriously hurt.
The woman whose name has not been released will appear in court in June.
