Inter-library Loan Services restored in Southern Ontario
In a joint statement, the Southern Ontario Library Service and the Ontario Library Service - North have announced that inter-library loan services have been restored.
They say they've been working with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport to review the budgets in order to restore the service.
The services will begin again on June 1st.
However, the service will shift from a van delivery service to delivery through Canada Post.
SOLS says some libraries may need to adjust the number of loans they can handle per day based on staff and budget limitations.
Library service organizations will provide partial reimbursement to libraries for delivery costs through Canada Post.
This announcement follows another protest at Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff's office where seniors gathered to protest library cuts.
About 40 people showed up to today's 'tailgate party'.
CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta drops by to discuss his new book: "The Enemy of the People". Should public buildings like malls be open to homeless people? A municipality-run summer camp that accepts children for 8 weeks, can only guarantee kids with disabilities for 3 weeks. Also, what time in your life were you at YOUR happiest?
Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer says it's a CAP not a PRICE. If your municipality had found the body of your deceased pet...would it matter how they stored the body? Also, IF you were detained by authorities (for any amount of time), you'd think you'd get basic toiletries, right?
