K9 CUP | Winners of Niagara/Hamilton series will honour fallen Humboldt goalie Parker Tobin

The K9 Cup Playoff Edition will honour the fallen goalie of the Humboldt Broncos Junior Hockey team.

The playoff series between the Niagara IceDogs and Hamilton Bulldogs continues Wednesday night in game four.

The IceDogs are behind in the series 2-1.

So far all three games have gone into overtime putting the pressure on the goalies.

The winning team's goalie, Stephen Dhillon for the Icedogs supported by fellow goalie Colton Incze or Hamilton's Kaden Fulcher supported by Nick Donofrio will present a $1000 donation in memory of Parker Tobin.

18 year old Parker Tobin was killed last Friday night in the Broncos bus crash.

Sadly his body was mistaken for another player and his parents believed he was alive until they received devastating news Sunday that in fact Tobin had died in the crash.

Bell Media, the owners of 610 CKTB, 97.7 HTZ FM, 105.7 EZ Rock and TSN 1150 will donate the funds to the Remembering Parker Tobin Fundraiser.

The Tobin family wants to commemorate and celebrate Parkers’ life by establishing the scholarship fund dedicated to helping future goalies.

The funds raised through this scholarship will go directly towards facilitating goalie skill development, equipment costs, and educational pursuits.
