Kuijer appears in St. Catharines court
A brief court appearance Thursday morning for a St. Catharines man accused in the death of his 7 year old stepson.
43 year old Justin Kuijer was formally charged with first degree murder in the death of Nathan Dumas as well as the attempted murder of a woman at the RBC branch on Martindale road.
Kuijer was remanded into custody, he'll be back in court April 19th.
Nathan was found by his mother in their apartment with critical injuries last Friday, he died in hospital the next day.
Police allege Kuijer then went to a nearby bank and attacked a woman there who was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Kuijer was arrested in Kenora Tuesday after a 5 day manhunt in a Walmart parking lot.
