Large donation bolsters Distress Centre Niagara

A donation of more than $20,000 is being hailed as the largest single donation ever recieved by Distress Centre Niagara.

Diamond Estates Wines and Spirits presented the donation this week following their charity golf tournament according to Post Media.

These funds will be used to help keep the distress centre's 24 hour telephone crisis line available at all times as well as aiding in recruitment and training for crisis-line volunteers.

Distress Centre Niagara has been serving the community for 47 years through the free, confidential crisis line providing emotional support and suicide prevention for people in crisis, their outreach and education programming, and community partnerships.
