Legal weed coming Canada Day 2018
CBC News reporting this morning the Trudeau government will announce legislation next month to legalize marijuana by July 1st of next year.
The new rules will be announced mid April and will follow the recommendations of a federal task force appointed to study the move.
According to the CBC report, Ottawa will set a minimum age of 18 to buy pot, but the provinces will be allowed to set a higher age limit if they choose.
The feds will be in charge of licensing and making sure the pot supply is safe and secure.
But the provinces will be able to decide how it is distributed and sold and will also be able to set the price.
