DSBN female students encouraged to live their dreams

More than 250 young women from DSBN secondary schools will gather in Niagara Falls to learn about careers in technology and the skilled trades.

The "Live Your Passion" event will give the students an opportunity to network, ask questions and investigate career options with female mentors.

Roy Smith. DSBN Technological Education and Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM) Consultant, says having the support of these role models is critical to the event's success.

He says the goal  is to help students feel inspired and learn about different pathways.

This year, parents and guardians can participate alongside their children.

The event will take place at the Niagara Falls Hilton Fallsview  Tuesday from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
