Garbage will be picked up on Family Day in Niagara

If Family Day is your garbage day in Niagara -- put it out.

The Niagara Region sending out a reminder that all essential services will be available Monday, Feb. 19th including garbage, recycling and organics collection.

Some Regional offices and facilities will be closed on Family Day including administrative offices, sexual health clinics, public health and child care centres.

Niagara Region Transit and Niagara Specialized Transit will not be operating on Feb. 19.

LCBO's and Beer Stores will be closed on Family Day except for stores will tourist exemptions.

Most grocery stores, banks and libraries will also be closed.

The Fairview and Pen Centre Malls are closed, but outlet locations remain open.

    A night of deflections went the way of the visitors as the IceDogs fell 6-3 to visiting Owen Sound. In the 'Dogs first game in a 6 game in 9 days stretch, the home side was unable to hold a third period one goal lead.
