The Niagara Falls Community Health Centre is getting ready for the official grand opening.
Construction of the building on Victoria Ave wrapped up in December, and officials will be throwing open the doors on Wednesday, March 21 for tours starting at 3 p.m.
The new location includes a full teaching kitchen, a dividable multipurpose community room, nine exam rooms, and an onsite lab.
Staff are proud to also offer a new Youth Mental Health team with help from a three year Ontario Trillium Fund grant.
A very successful 2017-2018 IceDogs regular season came to an end Saturday afternoon with a 6-3 win over Mississauga. A sellout St Patty's Day Meridian Centre crowd watched Niagara record their 35th win of the season for a total of 80 points in the OHL's Eastern Conference as Johnny Corneil lead the way with a goal and two assists.
Kirill Maksimov enjoyed a four point night while Johnny Corneil and Ben Jones each scored a pair in the IceDogs 6-3 Friday night win in Erie. With the win, Niagara has now secured home ice advantage in their first round playoff series with Oshawa.
Johnny Corneil scored the overtime winner exactly half-way through the extra period as the IceDogs prevailed 3-2 over visiting Hamilton for Niagara's fifth win in six meetings versus the Bulldogs. Stephen Dhillon was also big stopping 41 shots for the IceDogs fifth straight victory.
