Ontario government pledges $150,000 for Hurricane Irma aid

The Ontario government is contributing $150,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help people in the Caribbean hit by Hurricane Irma.

Premier Kathleen Wynne says Irma and its consequences are a worst nightmare for millions of people.

Wynne also says she's sent a letter to Florida Governor Rick Scott offering her sympathies and support.

One-hundred-and-seventy-five Hydro One employees from Ontario and equipment are already on their way to Florida to help restore power to millions of Floridians

    The IceDogs got contributions from 6 different goal scorers in a 6-1 win on home ice over North Bay. The Dogs have now won two of their past three and are just four points out of top spot in the Central Division of the OHL.
