Ontario government pledges $150,000 for Hurricane Irma aid
The Ontario government is contributing $150,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help people in the Caribbean hit by Hurricane Irma.
Premier Kathleen Wynne says Irma and its consequences are a worst nightmare for millions of people.
Wynne also says she's sent a letter to Florida Governor Rick Scott offering her sympathies and support.

On January 28th, the IceDogs were a shot away from a record setting third 3 in 3 weekend sweep but it was not to be, losing in a North Bay shootout. Since then, the team has gone winless in ten including a Monday afternoon overtime loss in Peterborough 4-3.
Colton Incze stood on his head, making 40 saves Saturday night, as the IceDogs fell 3-1 in Barrie. The game’s first star had to make 18 saves in the second period alone.
A night of deflections went the way of the visitors as the IceDogs fell 6-3 to visiting Owen Sound. In the 'Dogs first game in a 6 game in 9 days stretch, the home side was unable to hold a third period one goal lead.
