Turban wearing Sikhs given motorcycle helmet exemption in Ontario
The province has announced it will give turban wearing Sikhs in Ontario the right to ride motorcycles without helmets.
The PC government says the exemption recognizes civil rights and religious expression.
Premier Ford adds safety is still a priority but he also believes individuals should take responsibility with respect to their own well being.
Sikhs who wear turbans and ride motorcycles are exempt from wearing helmets in three other provinces.
