Welland resident wins $100,000
A Welland man has won $100,000.
Carl Suchorab of Welland won $100,000 with INSTANT BINGO DOUBLER.
He says his mom was so excited, he had a hard time prying that ticket from her hand.
He plans to start looking for his own home but is also thinking about taking some grand adventures, “I’ve always dreamed of visiting Australia. Egypt as well – the mystery of those pyramids is incredibly intriguing,” he smiled.
The winning ticket was purchased at Jerry’s Place on Southworth Street in Welland.
The IceDogs would surrender a goal 44 seconds into a Wednesday night and that proved to be the game winner as Kitchener won 6-0 at the Meridian Centre. The IceDogs remain in first in the Central, two points up on Barrie, with both teams having played 42 games.
Ben Jones scored a goal and added two assists as the IceDogs scored four unanswered in Erie, winning 5-3. Johnny Corneil chipped in with a pair of goals and Colton Incze made 26 saves for the first place ‘Dogs who completed their second.3 in 3 sweep this season.
Stephen Dhillon made 46 saves and Elijah Roberts scored the hat-trick as the IceDogs doubled Barrie 6-3, taking over the lead in the OHL’s Central Division. Roberts also added an assist, while Sam Miletic scored two for the second straight game plus counted an assist.
