Maloney leaving politics
After a long run in politics, Port Colborne's mayor ending rumours and speculation, announcing he will not seek re-election this year.
John Maloney telling council earlier this week, after 15 years as an MP and four years as mayor it was the right decision to make for himself and the city.
Maloney suffered a stroke in 2016 and took almost six months off to recuperate.
The Mayor says health issues did not play a role in his decision, adding his doctors have been very pleased with his progress.
