Man arrested after driving through Grimsby park


Niagara police are looking for witnesses after a man allegedly crashed through a gate and  drove his van through a Grimsby park.

It happened Saturday afternoon just before 4:00 p.m at Nelles Beach Park on Lake Street.

The van struck a tree and a volleyball pole before speeding away.

No one was injured even though the park was filled with people.

Police arrested a  29-year-old Grimsby man a short time later.  His name has not been released.

He is charged with dangerous driving.
