More horses fatally injured in chuckwagon race at Calgary Stampede
Veterinarians had to euthanized three more horses competing in chuckwagon races at this year's Calgary Stampede.
The horses went down last evening in the eighth race, when the right lead horse on one of the wagons broke a bone in a hind leg.
A total of six horses died this year.
Stampede officials are promising a review of safety surrounding chuckwagon racing.
