More Niagara areas announce open air burn bans
Add a few more municipalities in Niagara to the burning ban.
The City of Niagara Falls issued a ban on all open air burning yesterday.
Lincoln and Pelham have also now joined the ban.
The ban will remain in place until there is some sustained rainfall and cooler temperatures.
Barbecues and other gas appliances are permitted under the ban.
Residents who do not comply with the open air burning ban face fines ranging from $2,000 - $50,000.
