Need help with snow removal in St. Catharines?

With a chance for snow in the forecast before the end of the week, just a quick reminder about some snow removal programs for people in need in St. Catharines.

Seniors and people with physical disabilities can contact the city to enrol in a snow removal program.

As part of the service, snow will be removed from city sidewalks fronting and abutting homes occupied by qualified seniors.

The program does not cover removal from driveways or walkways to a home.

Registration for the program closes at the end of this month.

Under local bylaws, snow and ice must be cleared from sidewalks in front of and beside private property within 24 hours or the owners could face a fine of 10 dollars 40 cents for every metre left unshovelled.
