New Democrats say Doug Ford is wasting public money on anti-carbon tax stickers
Premier Doug Ford is being criticized by the New Democrats for "wasting public money on partisan anti-carbon tax stickers".
The opposition beleives it's all just a ploy to help Conservative leader Andrew Scheer in the upcoming federal election.
This is coming off recent news that the provincial government has set a deadline for gas station operators to display the stickers, which is right around the start of the federal election campaign.
Proposed enforcement plans include fines of $10,000 a day for gas stations that don't comply with sticker regulations.
The Progessive Conservatives insist the stickers are about transparency, but critics point out they don't mention carbon tax rebates provided by the Trudeau government.
