New neighbourhood will be going up in St. Catharines
A new neighbourhood will be constructed in St.Catharines' west-end.
The subdivision with over 200 units including townhomes, and apartment buildings will be built on vacant land at the corner of Benfield Drive and Louth Street near the Walmart and Superstore Smart Centre.
St.Catharines City Councillor Matt Harris voted in favour of the development telling CKTB this is a good news story.
Harris says the area has been vacant for sometime and it will be nice to see construction start.
He believes development will begin shortly.
The property is owned by Mountainview Belmont Ridley Heights.
The neighbourhood is within the GO Transit Station Secondary Plan Area.
